I was enjoying not having cars driving in the wrong lane, headed directly toward me, everyone else be damned, while Pluto languished in Aquarius for the past two and a half months. Okay, there were still a couple of instances, but largely there was more of a, “Hey, Everyone, let’s try to get along”, vibe happening while on the road and elsewhere.
Today Pluto ingressed back into Capricorn and all of the “Me First, Me, Mine, and Only Me” energy is on display for all of the world to see. What a show it has the potential to be. There was a kindhearted woman who stopped to let me make a turn so that generosity will still be on display. It’s not like we don’t have a choice when it comes to our own behavior, we do, we always do, and yet celestial influences can magnify, support, benefit, and/or make things more challenging. Slow and steady right now as much as possible, seems to be the best route.
Also, a hearty “F you” (as in, from my heart, which recognizes you are still a being deserving of love, and yet I’ll enact a boundary with you) in return to the guy driving the truck behind me, honking incessantly at me as I paused my car to let someone turn in front of me due to the red light just ahead which we all were going to have to stop at anyway.
It’s fascinating to me that Trump was indicted while Pluto in retrograde (returning to unfinished business) had its brief sojourn in Aquarius and will head to court to be arraigned as Pluto still in retrograde has returned to Capricorn. Late-stage capitalism and power abusers are on the hot seat. We can not continue down this path, so it’s a good thing the path is changing.
Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008, the year the US experienced one of its worst financial disasters. The clean-up and legislation that followed, while helping some everyday citizens in some ways, largely focused on corporate-held interests including banking and the insurance lobby among others, and this has increased the wealth gap.
Many wealth hoarders have had a field day while Pluto has sat in Capricorn, seeming not to understand the transformative nature of the moment, instead holding on with all of their might while the patriarchal structures begin to crack all around us.
Pluto was last in Capricorn from 1762-1778, which saw the rapid rise and fall of many kings, queens, and other power brokers and power abusers. It saw the beginning and most of the Revolutionary War in America.
Pluto in Aquarius (1777-1798) saw the ending of the American Revolution, the French Revolution, the beginning of the Age of Enlightenment, advancements in science and medicine, the writing of the Constitution of the U.S. (a document that continues to evolve), and the structure of the U.S. and the three branches of government including the idea of checks and balances to somewhat level the power playing field, and democracy in the form of a republic. It offered a more collaborative and inclusive approach to governing than the monarchy and other forms of top-down styles of governing that had come before it, while still creating an unequal distribution of power.
Over the years, my interest in astrology has grown from giving it a passing look to exploring it more deeply. I am no expert, I consider myself a layperson where Astrology is concerned, and yet there are certain aspects that seem to light up for me, especially as I weave them into my channeled work. Pluto and its journey from Capricorn into Aquarius, is one of these things, and it may be that my increasing interest in astrology will lead to a more specific destination, or not, I guess I’ll find out.
Back to Trump. So many of us, too many of us, in this lifetime, experienced abuse at the hands of others in positions of power over us and watched as our abusers seemed to walk freely away without any justice being served or even the notion that it could be served. Aquarius can be very justice-seeking when that justice serves the collective. Capricorn can be very justice-seeking when it serves the self.
This process of bringing Trump to justice for the crimes he has committed will likely be all over the map, especially depending on who is drawing the map in the moment. There will be plenty of power seekers using this as a pathway to try to gain more power for themselves. Pluto in Capricorn will magnify some of this initially (it already is). Whether coming out against him or supporting him, many will truly just be supporting themselves.
Pluto in Aquarius will highlight those seeking to serve the highest good for all of humanity. The narratives will likely change as Pluto bounces back and forth between the two signs until it finally settles into Aquarius for a good 19 years or so (see the bottom of this piece for the exact dates).
The highest outcome I hold at this moment when I reflect on Trump and justice is that when (I am saying this as if it has already happened) he is brought to justice, when we witness a power abuser like him actually have to face his crimes in this lifetime, this may act as a healing for all of us who have experience justice not being served by the many abusers we have encountered which will then open a new door.
I am not saying that he incarnated here for this purpose, let me be clear, I am not offering him that bypass nor asking you to project onto him some highly idealized spiritual identity. I am saying that when he is brought to justice, this may act as a healing balm for many of us and bring about other forms of justice that have long needed to be served, especially collective forms of justice.
Pluto in Capricorn and Aquarius Dates and some other thoughts:
*March 23, 2023, Pluto moved into Aquarius
*May 1, 2023, Pluto went retrograde while still in Aquarius
Pluto retrograde in Aquarius was like going spelunking into the subconsciousness and what sits below with the intention of change/revolution/what most creates the greatest good for all.
*June 11, 2023, Pluto moves into Capricorn while still in retrograde
Pluto retrograde in Capricorn will be like going spelunking into the shadow of late-stage capitalism and all of the suffering it has wrought. I expect the wealth hoarders to continue to fight for the status quo (ie: patriarchal structures and late-stage capitalism fueled by distortions of fear manifesting as hate being injected into the collective consciousness by the Christofascist set)
*October 10, 2023, Pluto goes direct while still in Capricorn
*January 20, 2024, Pluto moves into Aquarius
*September 1, 2024, Pluto moves back into Capricorn
*November 19, 2024, Pluto will finally settle into Aquarius and remain there through March 8, 2043.
Haha, I love that you rolled with the collective Astro-driving theme!!! It’s always my collective thermometer. It started when I worked in restaurants where you could always tell something was up astrologically by how the evening went. Merc retros we’re notoriously a communication hot mess and full moons were always emo.
Anyway, I can’t wait for Return of Aquarius vibes but I have a Cap moon so I understand that energy. I like it’s structured energy, but it’s been gnarly getting through plutos passage through systems falling apart even though I very much want to see Trump be brought to Justice and power abuses/ers exposed.
Great insights and great writing. I have not been looking forward much to Pluto going back into Capricorn but now I see what kind of energies it will bring about now and l think my Capricorn ascendant and I are going to enjoy this very much.
