One of the only things I don't like about traveling abroad is that I've found that in Europe -- and particularly on the continent, UK is a little better -- people do not seem at all open to allowing me to say hi to their dogs. Certainly not with a pat. And even the traditional smile and "hi dog!" that I offer in the US that usually gets a return smile gets me zero in Europe.

On the other hand, dogs in Europe are allowed everywhere, and this is probably why. They're trained not to interact or bother people.

I'm on the fence about which is a better approach -- the "freedom" dogs have in the US to be dogs, but that isn't really free because they're not welcome anywhere because Americans don't know how to train their dogs (self included...) or the freedom they have in Europe because they're well behaved.

Anyway, that's my morning musing. Back to writing. Give the pups a pat from me :)

Pups patted and loved from you and love sent right back from all of us.

Yeah, I also don’t know which is better.

❤️ the Badass Unicorns. It’s like a George Carlin oxymoron…JUMBO shrimp😜

Beagles are definitely a breed unto themselves. They were my family’s breed. Living with the hormones of three females, my Dad wanted the company of a male…El Toro❣️

So glad Sookie was found after a heart stopping 15 minutes😵‍💫

Funny that you are all about dogs today as our granddog is here for the week while his parents go to Portland, Oregon. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rowan. My heart melts over him. He is a sweet sweet soul. He has taught me to love dogs. When I was little we had 3 saint Bernard's, an otterhound and a great Dane. My sadistic father told me that they are really men in dog suits and they take off there suits after I go to bed and if I'm not a good girl they will be available to scold or punish me. I was 4. Well, enough said. I actually had my heart melt meeting Teddy, I felt somehow we had a similar history yet we both survived and found a loving life in later years. I love you Nora.

(((((Rowan))))))

Ugh, sadistic parents suck! I am so sorry.

Yeah, Teddy has that effect.

I love you too.

I love your socks! I am glad you are enjoying your Chicago life and meeting so many dogs. My dog is one who is scared of people and it has been interesting especially because my past dogs were so super friendly. Being 15 with hardly any teeth, not being able to hear and vision problems has really turned him into a grumpy old man. 😂 But he loves us and we love him. I am doing ok. Happy the humidity is better so I can enjoy the outside more. 🌞

Thank you! I love my new socks as well.

Love to the sweet old pooch and to you.

From what I remember of Chicago summers, it seems that this one we are having has been extra nice.

I am not at all missing the endless days of high 90s and 100s we were getting in Ojai.

Love to you and yours too! We have been kind of unhappy with the summer since the heat hit so early and the humidity was so bad I haven’t been able to enjoy it. I think it all depends on where you live in this area. In Kenosha it wasn’t as humid overall as it is at this house. But if you are used to 100 degrees I would think this feels much better. 😀

Oh yay! A dog post… I love reading about them and everyone else’s dogs here too. And the house line magic that you seem to exist on… how fun!

Rosie (my family’s border collie) is currently asleep against my legs as I write this and two cats are on the bed and chair respectively as well. I swear, with a dysfunctional family and zero emotional regulation, it’s the pets that kept me sane. I shudder to think who I would be if I didn’t have animals around me growing up. My mental health is always better with them around.

Personally, I’m finishing up a training doing inner voice facilitation and emotional release and it has been SOOO good. So aligned and resonant in a way traditional coaching or spiritual things never quite felt. Enough structure but not too much. Really loving it and am starting to offer free community sessions and soon my own paid sessions and that feels so fun. I’ve been connecting with my business more and I’m excited to start to baby step grow that in the coming months!

Oh! And I channeled the Pleidians and The Faery Collective for the first time in years Nora! I wasn’t avoiding it, channeling had just flowed out of my life for a long while. Anyway, I dove back in with a friend last week and it was a blast to feel that connection again, feel how much more stable I am in the connection, and start to open to that magic in new ways.

More magic thank you please! 🙏🏼

Yes, I am also thankful for the four-leggeds and other sweet beings that occupy our homes and lives.
