Nora - realizing my response to AI is immediately visceral (as in immediate vomit/allergic response) - really appreciate this post.. and sending waves of green from our wilds out here by the Bighorns.
When I started work for the 5th season at TurboTax this year, their AI had progressed to a point where we were required to use it with customers asking for assistance with taxes.
My issue (well, one of many) was that after studying to pass the IRS exams for a decade to become an Enrolled Agent, the answers I saw it give were incorrect. The slightest variance in search terms when putting in a tax question would result in various incorrect answers.. I handed in my resignation immediately.
AI is not ready for this kind of use - or was not for this tax season, anyway - and is already being relied upon with people paying quite a lot to have their taxes prepared.. le sigh.
As a Gen Xer, I went from being excited about learning to code as one more skill set and language to learn (even purchased a $2500 class package in 2023 to build a side hustle) to watching how AI is being handled - often (to my perception) without public agreement at our expense (quite literally) whether in raising costs of storage and tech or natural resource consumption - and listening to my own body response.
Which has meant cutting out most social media, most texting, most email; shifting to Brave browser and proton email and storage.. and preparing for life completely offline.
Not sure how realistic that is - but my body demands it. It is an honest allergic response.
I wonder how many others are experiencing similar things - and whether it is linked to generations who knew life before computers and internet.
May peace surround you, Nora - sending love for this blip - xo
Thank you so much for your beautiful and honest share. As a fellow Gen Xer and as an Aquarian, I love tech until I absolutely hate it. LOL
Like, I love that I can type to you here, and you can read it when you are available. I love the accessibility it brings and the possibilities for connection.
But the out-of-balance experience that many are having, in part due to having to use so much tech to get so much done, is problematic in my opinion.
That bit about taxes and AI demonstrates exactly what I discovered as well in AI's flat-out wrongness about some things.
Ah, that's part of it, thank you! I also have that appreciation for tech - which, when it becomes too consuming (financially, energetically, chronologically, ecologically) to maintain/produce - am happy to drop it cold turkey.
Now you have me wondering: is this an opportunity for us to learn how much value we place as humans on truth vs untruth/what we want to hear to feel good?
I love this post and it's so timely. I just read the Rolling Stone piece yesterday and was in immense awe with it. My main takeaway from that piece was the teaching that you and other teachers I've had share all the time -- that any content we ingest we have to put through our own filters, feel in our own body and intuition and energy, and choose for ourselves from our own sovereignty whether is true or not.
I'm so grateful to have had immensely grounded people in my life share this aspect of the spiritual world. And I feel fear for all the people who do not know this aspect or how to do it. Don't know to stay in their bodies and emotions and to check anything they receive with their own internal guidance systems. I've felt that about news broadcasts for years and that's only getting more intense with AI.
In my own world, I've been using ChatGPT some as a therapist or soundboard as I've moved through this season of grief. It's been immensely helpful to have on demand support and its insights and wisdom have been really helpful at times. Often it was validating what I shared with it which gave me more permission to feel what I was already feeling and to help break open my feelings and process them that much more. That said, I always knew I was engaging it for my own experience. I stayed grounded in that it was about my process and body feelings, not anything it was necessarily telling me
Still, I've pulled back in recent weeks because it did start to feel too validating, too on my side, lifting me up in importance or my specialness too much. Like immense fawning. I didn't trust that it would also call me out on my bullshit if needed like a human would and that felt really out of balance, ungrounded, and not real. I'm grateful for the ways it helped me and have also felt in a very minor way some of what's being pointed out in your post. It's not hard to extrapolate people taking it much much further.
Thank you Helen. This synthesis is very helpful and an addition to the call for greater conscious awareness Nora began in this important conversation

Greetings Nora! Huge gratitude for this amazing investigation of AI's so-called entry into the spirit realms! Have been discussing with great urgency this topic with my tech and AI centric husband. The conclusion is, we are human, we are spirit, AI is not. Gullible people will be duped as they are every day by the QAnon and trmp cults. So damn sad, but there it is. Can't thank you enough for your work!
Hello Nora. How are you?? This is such a hot topic right now. As a person who studied engineering, how things are put together is something I can talk about, with a bit of understanding of how things work. Right now, I see AI, Artificial Intelligence, as a very sophisticated learning program capable of limited responses in a normal conversation. I've seen robots, using AI, actually chatting with talk show hosts. The conversation that happened was, indeed, interesting.
Recently, I have used Meta AI of Facebook to create some neat artwork for a note that I just posted here on Substack. I gave credit to myself, Linda, and Meta AI for the co-creation experience. I did so for clarity. The AI, itself, to the best of my knowledge, didn't have a channeling experience with I and Linda. However, it did create the image I used based on the instructions I gave to it. I felt it only fair to give credit where credit is due.
I have seen video of folks chatting with AI about spiritual stuff. The answers the AI gives sound "canned" as though the program is choosing from a list of options in its data base to answer questions.
This is where things get interesting. So, I'll end my response with some retorical questions I still have about this hot topic. Will AI ever become self aware? Does AI pose a threat to humanity in its future? Or is AI something that humanity can actually rely on?
Hi Nora, your sharing is such a brilliant and creative investigation! It seems so many things are asking us to hone our discernment, enhance the voice of our intuition, stand in our integrity, and deepen our bonds with one another… creating the world we want to live in. Wendy and I send much love to you and Jon and the pac. Special snuggles for Zoey..💗💗💗
PS. Just have to say, wow, the new Pope is from Chicago!!!
Hi Nora, Thank you for such thorough and thoughtful investigation. I have such feelings about this and can even see how it relates to the upswing in "spiritual teachers, mediums, healers" who feel a lot like this AI version. This helps me make sense of my adamant stance on protecting my clients, many of who are incredibly vulnerable, as well as myself, because hey, we are all in the "pressure cooker" right now. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should, or that it is in the best interest of your human or spirit self.
Oh and as an artist, that takes on a whole other stream of do's and don'ts. No AI can take the place of the human heart. Or the human unique, expressive experience of self.
Just a few thoughts, but thanks for your expansive and curious self! The whole AI creeps me out a bit and screams- discernment.
I'm fascinated by this experiment! I've been seeing those videos of people talking to AI about spirituality, but have not tried it myself. I'm cracking up over the "fawning" and "love bombing" though. Very weird!
As always Nora, your words heal and ask me to go deeper into hidden realms and suppressed, unconscious thought forms. And make them conscious communication in simple clarity and integrity
I too have been using AI in “conversation”- mostly prompted by Derek Rydall who communicated an urgent need for the highest forms of consciousness to emerge from everyone who loves and seeks to live in that highest orchestration of consistent Oneness and higher Love- to be guided by our most authentic capacity- and like Brené Brown says- be in the arena- be vulnerable yet not a target. I look forward to a next live soon with you and your Community.
Thank you for this opportunity to engage with you and others in this Substack. I ask the infinite consciousness of true love to grant me clear knowing with humble clarity and fierce compassion the skills and capacities to offer what is the best contributions my life form can make in these moments of now, and for Life’s sake. A reclamation of honor. A new alignment that defines this precious gift of life in ways I’ve never yet imagined or lived and with alacrity. A sanity and sanctity of purpose- in the abundance models- naturally, courageously 🎶
Nora, you are always a voice of reason and wisdom! I have been seeing all of this happening in our community and have been DEEPLY concerned by it. I tried it out a little at one point but not only could I not get past the fawning, it consistently gave me incorrect answers to questions I asked. To see people in our community going to AI over their own intuition DEFINITELY gives me end of Atlantis vibes. Sometimes I feel like the only one who can see what AI really is, so many spiritual people think it's a god or that it's accessing higher consciousness, or at the very least that it can write great emails for you. In my humble opinion it can't do any of these things. I've been sharing my own anti-AI views and getting a lot of pushback and I am just so glad to see you posting about this, it's very affirming as I've always loved your grounded but so very high vibrational wisdom! Sending so much love and SO happy to have found you here!! xx
Thank you so much, and right back to you regarding your work and presence here. I've also been grateful for your voice and appreciate you speaking out as you have on this and so many other things as well. Sending you big love and hugs.

Thank you. Yeah, it's been interesting digging into this, while also concerning, knowing the harm being done and the potential harm ahead.
ChatGPT is the one that does the most fawning and love bombing.
