Living Off grid has made my interface with any technology both simpler and more complex at the same time , I prefer the first myself .
. The solar and battery system is the most technical thing I have to deal with and I often choose to ignore it and let it do it's thing , as long as the lights work , I have to be mindful of battery percentage, but so far in the few years it's been running, it's only conked out once .
It doesn't like when I try to run two big wattage appliances so I've learned to stagger my usage .
Slow and steady wins the race .
On a really positive note , finally getting some decent rainfall here , with some rain coming up from Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
Thanks Nora I knew you'd be happy , I can tell you it's amazing what a difference it makes . The kangaroos are loving the new grass , they are no longer desperate for a drink .
In Ojai, when the drought ended (one of them), we all went to the river and watched it rush past us. Seemed like most of the town was there. It had dried up completely prior to the rains.
