Oh Nora, you are so great and honest about your reality! Interestingly, the day our friend came to us to tell us that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer with two years to live, he added, I'm not afraid to die, I'm afraid to disappoint people. I was so struck by this. What a burden for him to carry. Yes he was love and generous and very community oriented and a loving husband and father and 400 people came to his memorial... that's a heavy load. And the truth is he was so incredibly loving and important to his very large circle of love that he created. And the other truth is there was no disappointment in the love that we all gained from his presence and this is NEVER disappointing. Love to you Nora, you are love and valuable and loved.

Your article was really powerful for me because it made me realize that when I get sick or when I get a headache or something I immediately blame myself for it. I ask myself what did I do to cause this? And instead of experiencing it, I just try to push it away over and over. This definitely gives me a lot to think about and was an important realization for me. I love the affirmation/mantra that you say and previously gave us that we are valuable because we exist.
