"Self-care for me looks like doing the thing when I truly feel inspired to do it and not pushing myself to do the thing when my heart is not in it, knowing the difference between timing, pushing, and my own resistance."

This is lovely and I think very true.

Easy today! Big reaction to Covid booster has me in bed, Michael bringing me me tea and simple breakfast. AND I am aware that this is the most important job. I loved what Ursula said the other day on this topic. I know that I don't have to be sick to do the self care things.

I love you, everyone.

After many, many months of ignoring the urge, yesterday I started playing the piano again. It felt amazing!!

Thank you for the reminder, Nora. Self-care is the opposite of how I was raised. But I make steps. Yesterday I started journaling again in a new book and today tootled around with a beautiful flute I do not know how to play but made some pleasing noises. Both felt good. Today feels like I am waiting for something BIG to happen, not bad or good necessarily, just SOMETHING. Burning a candle and soaking in the day. Much love to you!
