You all know I've got a thing for the oaks. My memories tell me that after Atlantis fell, I traveled to the British Isles, where I connected with some of the Druids. I, along with those who were with me from Atlantis, integrated ourselves into that community and continued our lives and work there. I returned there in other lives, having many different experiences as both human and faerie, the oaks always present, sacred beings carrying knowledge, housing our rituals and practices in their groves, their vibration uplifting and grounding us all at once.
When my local magick and metaphysical shop, Malliway Brothers in Rogers Park, shared that they had recently procured a set of magical trinkets called The Oak Folk, I knew I had to have one.
This being set inside of an acorn was the one that called to me during yesterday's full moon in Capricorn energies. I put him on immediately after purchasing and felt a lovely sensation at my heart and throat the whole ride home. The feeling was so powerful that for a moment I thought I might need to pull over.
Right after arriving home, the Oak Folk himself fell off the chain and onto my chest as if to say, “My work on you is done for the moment.” When I looked at the ring that connects the charm to the chain, there was no break. How it fell off the chain will forever be another magical mystery, the kind that delights me to no end and keeps my feet on my path.
My sweet and powerful Oak Folk being is now hanging from the ring light behind my laptop, where I can gaze upon him as I work. He’ll let me know when it’s time to put him around my neck once more.
